We would like to welcome you to the first ABTC National Specialty to be held in the Greater Rockford Area. The Holiday Inn Rockford By IHG, has graciously agreed to be our host hotel.  This facility is easy to find, is the largest hotel in the area and was updated in 2022.  The Scoreboard, an in-house restaurant, offers breakfast from 6-9 am as well as lunch starting at 11 am through the dinner hour and for cocktails until 12 am or 2 am, depending on the night of the week.

The Awards Banquet will be held at the Hoffman House, an event center inside the Holiday Inn, while the Annual Meeting will also be held at the Holiday Inn with its plentiful parking and easy access to I-39/I-90.
Herding will be at the beautiful Wooden Ewe Ranch just a bit to the east on the outskirts of Woodstock, IL. This facility has been the home to numerous Great Lakes Belgian Tervuren herding events and I think you’ll find a warm welcome.

Scent Work and FastCAT will be held at the Taylor Farm on the northwest edge of Rockford, IL.  This is private property and the home to the Forest City Dog Training Club’s FastCAT events.  Chris has opened her home with its quiet rural setting for a fun, but busy weekend.

Tracking will be at Deer Run Forest Preserve Cherry Valley, IL.  This is a site that’s been used for several years by the Pecatonica Tracking Club and once by The Great Lakes Belgian Tervuren Club.  It’s a rambling riverside prairie and forest preserve spanning 594 acres with mowed walking and equestrian paths.

Agility will be at Forest City Dog Training Club Loves Park, IL. This is a 20,000 square foot air-conditioned facility which has state-of-the-art artificial turf, plenty of crate space for a full 350 dog entry, as well as plenty of parking. No motorhomes will be allowed at this facility.

Mercy Health SportsCore2 Loves Park, IL. will be the home to Obedience, Rally, Sweepstakes and all Conformation events. All events will be held on artificial turf, while there is limited motorhome parking, there is plenty of day parking and it’s near hotels and campgrounds.
